About the role

We are recruiting part-time Enrolled Nurses (EN) to work with children and families in the Northern Sydney Local Health District's Statewide Eyesight Preschool Screening (StEPS) Program.

Responsibilities

  • Visit early childhood education settings (preschools and childcare centres) across the NSLHD to deliver vision screening to preschool-aged children.
  • Work independently within a community-based service.
  • Meet the job demands of the position, including conducting screening activities.
  • Have a driver's license and be willing to drive.

Requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and engage effectively with patients/consumers, carers, and the multidisciplinary health care team.
  • Sound computer literacy, including the use of health-related systems such as the electronic medical record (eMR) system.
  • Demonstrated recent experience as an EN with working with children and families, an understanding of child development, and early intervention.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsive, while meeting deadlines in an environment of minimal supervision and rapid change.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

Pay

$37.83 - $41.11 per hour for 12 hours per week.

Schedule
