Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Specialized training, experience, certification, or demonstrated skill in the assigned enrichment area preferred
- Meet district background check and volunteer/vendor clearance requirements
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Ability to work positively with elementary and/or junior high-aged students
- Knowledge or experience in one or more approved enrichment areas
- Ability to plan and lead hands-on, age-appropriate activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow district safety, supervision, and student management procedures
- Dependability and punctuality
- Experience teaching, coaching, mentoring, volunteering, or leading youth activities
- Experience in the assigned course area preferred

Major Responsibilities And Duties
- I. PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT
- Plan and deliver engaging enrichment lessons aligned with the assigned course topic and appropriate for the grade level served.
- Provide hands-on activities that allow students to explore interests, discover new talents, and build confidence.
- Adapt activities for students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade as assigned.
- Prepare materials, supplies, and equipment needed for each session.
- Promote creativity, curiosity, problem solving, teamwork, and student participation.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment consistent with district expectations.
- II. OVERSEE STUDENT SUPERVISION AND SAFETY
- Supervise students at all times during assigned enrichment sessions.
- Follow campus procedures for attendance, student movement, dismissal, emergencies, and behavior support.
- Use safe practices when leading activities involving food, physical movement, technology, tools, science materials, art supplies, or small equipment.
- Immediately report student injuries, safety concerns, discipline concerns, or unusual incidents to the campus administrator or designee.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students.
- III. ENGAGE IN CLASSROOM AND PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
- Establish clear expectations for student behavior, participation, and care of materials.
- Maintain an organized instructional space before, during, and after each session.
- Ensure district materials, technology, supplies, and equipment are used responsibly.
- Communicate supply needs or program concerns to the campus designee in a timely manner.
- Participate in orientation, training, or planning meetings as required by the district.
- IV. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
- Work cooperatively with campus staff, teachers, administrators, volunteers, and other enrichment instructors.
- Represent the district and the Cadet Enrichment Hour program in a professional and positive manner.
- Protect the confidentiality of student information.
- Follow all district policies, campus procedures, and applicable state and federal laws
