About the role
We’re looking for an Assistant School Coach with a genuine love for kids, strong integrity, a gregarious and professional personality, and a valid driver’s license. No prior chess knowledge is needed—we provide training to help exceptional teachers become exceptional chess coaches. Work with kids by following our trademarked curriculum, guiding them from learning chess basics to mastery.
Responsibilities
- Teach chess to elementary and preschool children using The Knight School’s national curriculum.
- Engage kids in a fun, high-energy environment that prioritizes sportsmanship and character development.
- Follow structured lesson plans to help children progress from beginner to advanced chess skills.
Requirements
- Experience with children, childcare, or camps (essential).
- Classroom management, teaching, tutoring, or sports coaching skills (highly valued).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Gregarious, professional, and fun-loving personality.

Pay

Schedule
- Part-time: 5–15 hours per week.
- After-school weekday afternoons (Monday–Friday).
- Morning shifts may be available.
- Onsite at schools in the Dallas metro area.
