Responsibilities
- Manages Landscape Improvement operations of a designated district.
- Establishes programs and daily operational systems to implement long-term goals.
- Utilizes computerized estimating program and achieves budgeted sales and estimating goals.
- Accepts and achieves the prime objective of making a profit on each job and according to specifications.
- Plans and controls activities toward that objective.
- Must be able to estimate, sell, coordinate and manage enough work for a minimum of 2 crews.
Requirements
- Ability to lift & carry, push & pull up to 50 pounds of landscape material and equipment daily.
- Ability to lift and carry on back a 30 pound blower occasionally.
- Ability to start and use all power equipment without aid from others.
- Ability to walk, stand, squat and kneel repetitively on a daily basis.
- Frequent repetitive movements with the left and right hand, wrist, ankle and knee.
- Ability to twist, turn and bend the truck of the body frequently.
- Knowledge of production capabilities of labor and equipment.
- Knowledge of general price range of common materials.
- Knowledge of fundamentals of irrigation design and layout.
Qualifications
- Possess and utilize good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees and manager.
- Must be able to communicate in English verbally and in writing with above average clarity.
- Possess a valid California driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the Company's insurance carrier.
- Ability to stand or sit using office equipment, such as a computer terminal, copier, fax machine, and multi-extension telephone occasionally.
- Vision capabilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus for close vision work both inside (artificial light) and outside (natural light).
