About the role
The Enhancement Crew Lead manages multiple groundskeeping teams, overseeing construction and maintenance of outdoor spaces, training staff, and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the construction and maintenance of outdoor spaces
- Maintain existing grounds
- Monitor and train workers
- Supervise the use of equipment
- Ensure staff observe safety guidelines and protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in landscape construction
- Installation and care of tree and shrubs skills a plus
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Massachusetts hydraulics license a plus
- Good physical condition with an ability to lift 40 lbs
- Team player with high attention to detail
- Basic irrigation knowledge is helpful
- Custom service-oriented with strong communication skills
- Understanding of the importance of accurate and timely paperwork
- Proven leadership skills
Requirements
- High school diploma (degree in horticulture recommended)
- Relevant certificate may be required
- Minimum of 2+ years working experience
- Knowledge of tools and equipment used in landscaping
- On-the-job training as a landscape crew member
- Experience in a leadership role advantageous
- Ability to provide clear written and verbal instructions
