Enhanced Channel Underwriter I / II / Sr Enhanced Channel Underwriter - Commercial Credit

This role is responsible for credit underwriting and monitoring for new and existing clients in partnership with the client team. You will independently manage transactions or portfolios of limited to moderate complexity, complete and review credit analysis, evaluate risks, and write financial analysis for products including lines of credit, term loans, and real estate loans.
This position reports to the Commercial Credit Manager supporting the market and includes responsibilities for structuring, negotiating, documenting credit analysis, assessing historic and projected borrower financial information, evaluating adherence to policy, providing loan structure recommendations, and monitoring portfolio performance.
Responsibilities
- Manages a portfolio of clients supporting underwriting and/or monitoring requirements with limited to moderate complexity.
- Independently collaborates with Relationship Management and Risk teammates to understand structuring needs and requirements.
- Delivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to support loan decision-making.
- Reviews work of junior teammates to provide feedback, coaching, and ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and policy.
- Holds credit approval authority for certain credit actions.
- Leads loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external legal partners.
Requirements
- 5+ years of solid Commercial Banking experience.
- Experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting, and portfolio management.
- Analytical and technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling, and loan structuring.
- Strong communication skills; ability to communicate vertically, horizontally, and externally.
- Industry knowledge across multiple sectors.
