The Armed Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. Our Armed Security Officers allow us to accomplish our company’s core purpose which is “to service, secure and care for the people and businesses in our communities.” Armed Security Officers act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; they detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests or employees at the site. Pays $24.00 Per HourArmed OfficerThis role requires an active level three (3) state armed security guard license and prior law enforcement, military, OR security experience. Responsibilities Provide high quality armed security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and informationConduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified informationPreserve order and enforces rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the siteMaintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.Greet guests and employees, assisting where appropriate; escort visitors and contractors, secure ingress and egress points, secure classified informationFollow site-specific performance manuals and post orders, reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication; interact with client and/or other security personnel regarding order execution when appropriateRespond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergency situations and provide first aid as necessary Qualifications (must Have) Active State Armed Security Level Three Guard LicenseHigh school diploma or equivalentCurrent driver’s license if driving a company or customer owned vehicleLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentMust possess, or be able to obtain, the following:Level Three New Mexico Guard CardMinimum of 21 years of age, or higher as required by applicable law or contractual requirementsDemonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the publicExcellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills; able to articulate and write clear and concise incident or situation reports; able to effectively convey information to the public, client representatives, and fellow employeesProblem solving skills; able to assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accuratelyAttention to detail; able to compile, sort, and interpret dataActive listening skills; able to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacyAble to complete all range qualifications and functions Preferred Qualifications (nice To Have) Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice or protective service related fieldLaw enforcement experienceMilitary experienceSix (6) or more Months of experience as an armed security professional Benefits Health insurance and 401k plans for full-time positions Schedules that fit with your personal life goalsOngoing paid training programs and career growth opportunitiesEmployee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues and much more… Closing Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
