Enhanced Acuity Technician

About the role

The Enhanced Acuity Technician position at Damar Services is designed for individuals with or without prior experience. This role involves providing direct support to individuals residing at Damar Services, assisting the treatment team, and performing various duties such as natural environment training, skills-based treatment, data collection, and intensive intervention services.

Responsibilities

• Client supervision and care
• Crisis management
• Promoting appropriate social behaviors
• Supporting clients in achieving their maximum potential
• Work on the Richmond campus at 2000 Wernle Rd, Richmond, IN 47374
• Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with weekend rotation

Requirements

• At least 21 years old for Children's Residential program
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and a clean driving record
• No felony convictions or substantiated charges of neglect
• Successfully completed a pre-employment physical
• Favorably met and maintained Damar’s background screening

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Passport to the mission of Damar Services

Skills

• Confidence in decision-making
• Timely completion of mandatory training and licensure items
• Attendance at mandatory staff meetings and other meetings
• Participation in meetings, conferences, and workshops
• Direct service provision to children
• Supporting clients in programming goals, ADLs, and independent living goals
• Operate Damar vehicles or personal vehicles for transportation
• Completion of incident reports
• Reporting suspected exploitation, abuse, or neglect
• Membership in Damar Services' interdisciplinary team
