About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Solventum, you will be an active member of a scrum team, participating in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, software development, and code reviews. You will collaborate with software engineers, architects, quality (QA) engineers, full-stack developers, and other team members to design and build required systems. Additionally, you will coordinate with clinical analysts, product analysts, quality analysts, and interact with customers to resolve operational problems and determine requirements. This role may require being on-call and includes up to 20% domestic travel.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of SDLC, including design, software development, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, QA engineers, full-stack developers, and other team members to design and build systems.
• Coordinate with clinical analysts, product analysts, and quality analysts.
• Contribute to Security and Risk assessments for deploying application components in Production.
• Interact with customers to resolve operational problems and determine requirements.
• Be willing to be on-call as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND Five (5) years of software development experience, OR High School Diploma/GED AND Ten (10) years of software development experience.
• Five (5) years of software development experience using Java, C#, or Python in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• 1 year of experience with relational SQL / NoSQL databases.
• 1 year of experience with cloud architecture, particularly AWS, web application security, and development of large-scale hosted applications.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited institution (preferred).
• Demonstrated skills in software engineering methodology in an Agile environment, including documentation, configuration management, unit and integration testing, continuous integration with verification and validation.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analysis skills with the ability to work independently and with distributed teams.
• Experience with AWS serverless technologies such as Lambda/Step Functions (preferred).
• Experience developing code for a Linux/Unix-based operating system (preferred).
• Experience developing and delivering commercial enterprise software using solid software design principles and architectural patterns, and delivering projects within defined timelines and scope requirements (preferred).

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is $106,000 - $145,750, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered may vary based on factors including the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.

Onboarding Requirement

New employees hired for this position will be required to travel to a designated company location for on-site onboarding during their initial days of employment.
