English Writing Generalist – Advanced

About the Role

We're looking for experienced English writers and editors to help evaluate and improve AI-generated content at an advanced level. Your linguistic judgment will directly shape how AI systems write, reason, and communicate — making a real impact on the quality of content millions of people interact with every day.

Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Responsibilities

• Make high-judgment decisions around wording, tone, structure, and style in complex or ambiguous content
• Review and evaluate AI-generated writing for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
• Provide clear, structured feedback and well-reasoned rationale for edits and improvements
• Maintain high editorial standards across large-scale, diverse writing tasks
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Requirements

• Advanced English writer or editor with a strong command of language across multiple styles and registers
• Holds a Master's degree or higher in English, Humanities, Journalism, or a related discipline
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to navigate nuance and ambiguity
• Confident working independently on complex, high-judgment tasks
• Based in the United States

Nice to Have

• Experience in professional editing, content strategy, or academic writing
• Familiarity with style guides (AP, Chicago, MLA, etc.)
• Prior experience in AI content evaluation or quality assurance workflows
