About the role

This is for civil service employment with the County of Hawai`i. You must meet the minimum qualification Requirements And Other Public Employment Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of counseling services;
• Provides information, counsel, advice, and assistance to victims/witnesses of criminal acts;
• Acts as liaison between the victims/witnesses and the criminal justice system agencies;
• Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

• A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in social work, sociology, counseling, psychology or a related field;
• One year of professional counseling experience in a program which provided social services, including work related to the criminal justice system and crisis counseling.

Qualifications

• License Requirement: Position requires a valid driver’s license.

Skills

Overall paid or unpaid experience must have been of such scope and responsibility as to conclusively demonstrate that you have the ability to perform the duties of the position.
