About the role
The English Teacher at Princess Anne High School will be responsible for teaching English to students in grades 9-12.
Responsibilities
- Teach English language arts courses aligned with Virginia state standards.
- Instruct students on reading comprehension, writing, grammar, literature, and other related subjects.
- Develop lesson plans and assessments that meet educational objectives.
- Engage students in critical thinking and creative expression through various literary forms.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and administration.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
- Valid Virginia teaching license.
- Experience teaching English at the high school level preferred.
