English Teacher

About the role

The English teacher at Turning Point Academy is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in grades K-12. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills, a deep understanding of English content, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
• Assess student progress through various methods and provide feedback
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary projects
• Participate in professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Licensure to teach in North Carolina
• Bachelor's degree in English or related field
• At least two years of teaching experience
• Experience working with diverse student populations
