English / Spanish Language Interpreter - Remote

About the role

Kelly® Professional & Industrial is seeking remote Spanish Interpreters for a part‑time, long‑term contract position. Candidates must reside in Puerto Rico, work a minimum of 25 hours per week, and will receive $12 per hour. The role includes three weeks of paid training (5 am‑12:30 pm PST) and may involve video interpreting. The work is performed from a quiet home office, helping community members connect across industries.

Responsibilities

• Handle real‑time live calls on demand from a quiet home office.
• Interpret Spanish/English conversations for a wide range of industries, including Healthcare, Government entities, Police Services, Insurance, Financial, and Travel & Hospitality.
• Provide interpretation for conversations that may be simple, complex, or technical.
• Participate in video interpreting sessions as required.

Requirements

• Must reside in Puerto Rico.
• Ability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week.
• Private high‑speed internet connection for work‑related communication.
• Use of a personal device (tablet, laptop, or desktop).
• Dedicated private and quiet workspace within the home.
• Dry erase marker board or paper shredder for note‑taking.
• Manual dexterity to type or write notes.
• Comfortable being on camera, as video interpreting is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Fully fluent in both Spanish and English.
• Education or work experience in teaching or translation considered an asset.
• Previous interpreting experience not required.

Skills

• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Strong manual dexterity for typing or writing notes.
• Comfort with video conferencing and being on camera.
• Ability to manage live, on‑demand interpreting calls.

Pay

$12 per hour.

Schedule

Part‑time schedule with a minimum of 25 hours per week. Paid training occurs for three weeks, 5 am‑12:30 pm Pacific Standard Time. Work is performed remotely from a home office.
