English Residential Faculty

About the role

This is an eleven-month position for individuals wishing to work and live in a private secondary school setting. Residential Faculty will teach classes, live and work as part of our residential staff, and coach or advise a club, activity or sport.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes
• Live and work as part of the residential staff
• Coach or advise a club, activity or sport
• Participate in summer program responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
• To be certified in Maine or willing to work towards certification in Maine
• Current CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) through the Maine Department of Education

Qualifications

• Highly motivated
• Experience teaching English
• Ability to work effectively with students and staff

Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of educational best practices
