About the Role

We are hiring a Middle School ELA Teacher for the upcoming school year and beyond. This role requires NJDOE certification.

Teacher Supports

Teachers at Empowerment Academy are part of a school-wide team and receive ongoing support, including:

• Collaboration with peers in professional learning communities (PLCs) to plan lessons and solve problems

• Full-time reading and math specialists for tutoring, as well as counselors and social workers for non-academic support

Requirements

• Teacher certification is required. Candidate must hold a CE, CEAS, Limited CE, or Standard Certificate in “English” issued by the NJDOE.
• The 5-8 ELA Add-On certification is also acceptable for this middle school role.

Pay

Base Salary: $70,500 - $90,000+ with competitive raises year to year and paid summer training.
