English/ ELA Teacher

About the role

Empowerment Academy Charter School is hiring a Middle School ELA Teacher for the upcoming school year and beyond. NJDOE Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Evidence of closing the achievement gap
• Provide a quality educational program
• Participate in professional learning communities (PLCs)
• Partner with specialists to meet diverse student needs
• Receive career-long coaching and professional development support
• Work with colleagues to plan lessons and solve problems
• Utilize high-quality formative assessments to identify student mastery
• Tutor students struggling with essential skills
• Support students with non-academic problems

Requirements

• Teacher certification required
• Certificate in "English" issued by the NJDOE
• 5-8 ELA Add-On certificate acceptable for the MS role

$70,500 - $90,000+ Competitive Raises Year to Year and Paid Summer Training!
