Oportun (Nasdaq: OPRT) is a financial services company dedicated to providing affordable credit and empowering members to build a better financial future. The Member Loyalty Representative plays a crucial role in creating a rewarding and unique member service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome members with a warm greeting and provide quality member service.
  • Seamlessly process all transactions, adhering to company policies and procedures and ensuring member information security.
  • Work independently or as part of a team, including handling tasks alone in the store, while meeting daily goals in lending and servicing activities.
  • Engage in outreach efforts to inform and educate potential members about Oportun’s services, spending more than 50% of time at Oportun locations, partner locations, and community events. Activities include:
    • Building relationships with local businesses and speaking with their employees about Oportun’s services.
    • Conducting outreach at local flea markets, community events, and LAAS partner locations to increase awareness, capture leads, and assist with starting applications.
    • Passing out flyers and educating the local community about Oportun and its products and services.
    • Using iPads or assisting potential members with scanning QR codes during outreach efforts to start new applications.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and inviting work area and store location.
  • Use a computer intermittently for administrative tasks and member servicing.
  • Occasionally unpack and store office or cleaning supplies.
  • Travel between designated work locations as part of standard job duties, with occasional outdoor work year-round.

Required qualifications

  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Must be outgoing, sales-focused, and enjoy speaking with people.
  • Must love to help members, including prospective members through outreach and educational activities.
  • Must be available to work weekends and be flexible with a rotating work schedule.
  • Must have regular, reliable, and predictable attendance to support store operations.
  • Must be willing and able to work outdoors year-round to identify new sales opportunities and promote company products and services through designated outreach activities.
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, as needed.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to operate office equipment such as phones, scanners, and iPads.
  • Ability to organize and file paper documents.

The base hourly rate for this full-time position is $17.00 - $19.00. Our hourly rates are determined by role, location, and experience. The hourly range displayed on each job posting reflects a minimum and maximum for new hire rates for this position, specific to the location of this job posting.
