Engineering Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Execute rigorous tests using top-tier equipment measuring temperature, electricity, light, flow, pressure, strain, force, distance, time, noise, and weight
• Collect and analyze data to drive improvements and innovation in our products
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment failures and resolving factory work stoppage issues
• Design, develop, and build qualifying test fixtures and prototypes
• Fabricate, repair, and enhance mechanical and electro-mechanical setups
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance with OSHA VPP standards
• Keep meticulous records in laboratory notebooks and online data logs
• Support customer escalations, manufacturing ramp-up, and design transfer for new products

Qualifications

• A two-year Associate Degree or equivalent/apprenticeship, or specialized study in mechanical and/or electrical engineering
• Proven ability to use drill presses, band saws, metal-working tools, and demonstrate machine shop best practices
• Skilled in operating test equipment and measuring tools for a variety of parameters
• Understanding of wiring/electrical and piping schematics, engineering drawings, and piping procedures
• Strong computer proficiency and experience with data acquisition systems
• Self-motivated, excellent communicator, top-notch team player, and a proactive problem-solver

Location: Mentor, OH (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ months
Pay Rate: $35.00/hr
