About the role
Reason/motivation for request: Backfill.
- Support test and validation activities on large mining equipment.
- Test validation – validating the functionality of the software; common area – carrying out the requirements; system level testing; large mining truck; working with the mechanics.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and document machine level testing.
- Daily interaction with engineers, mechanics, operators, instrumentation technicians, supply chain, and logistics.
- Away from the desk most of the time; hands‑on equipment; out around the equipment; heavy equipment; planning, executing, data acquisition work, documentation; general contractor project management role; working with team leaders to direct day‑to‑day workers; hands‑on experience – construction job, mechanical assignment, cars.
Qualifications
- Years of experience: 1‑2 years.
- Degree requirement: B.S. engineering (no 2‑year degrees).
- Internships are accepted as job experience.
- Comparable background roles: mechanic, construction, landscaping.
