About the Role
SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician V to support the AEA division’s Electro-Mechanical repair efforts for multiple DoD systems across all NSWC Divisions. Systems include ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System (TJS), ALQ-218(V) 2, ALQ-240, ALQ-214, SLQ-32, MK-82, MK-99, I1-B1, P-8A, and other military systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform PinPoint and Huntron tasking, including:
- Use of the AN/USM-676 PinPoint IIR In-Circuit Functional Tester to diagnose failed circuit card assemblies (CCA) to a component level.
- Development of Shop Replaceable Assembly (SRA) diagnostic test routines for the PinPoint Test System.
- Use of the AN/USM-674 Huntron Protrack to diagnose failed CCAs to a component level.
- Development of SRA diagnostic test routines for the Huntron Test System.
- Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting functions.
- Assist in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
- Undertake analyses of data where guidelines are provided.
- Maintain both PinPoint and Huntron systems with minimal supervision.
- Communicate effectively with engineers and technicians in a lab environment.
Requirements
- AA degree in a related discipline and nine (9) years of related experience; or High School diploma and eleven (11) years of related experience plus an advanced certification.
- Ability to diagnose and maintain PinPoint and Huntron systems.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance (interim clearance required to start; SAIC will sponsor).
