What You'll Do
- Execute Tesla test procedures in the areas of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, Vehicle Dynamics, and Range under the leadership of test engineers
- Prepare vehicles for testing, including instrumentation installation, part changes, and vehicle diagnostics
- Design and build new instrumentation or test equipment as needed
- Lead on & off-site test trips, including management and support of other technicians and operators in test vehicle setup and test execution
- Work with internal and external test labs and proving grounds to direct testing activities
- Mentor less-experienced technicians and operators to develop their skills and knowledge
- Document results of testing and communicate issues found to the lead test engineer
What You'll Bring
- 2-year Automotive degree or equivalent technical credentials
- In-depth knowledge of modern vehicle systems and how they operate
- Some exposure to vehicle testing, specifically related to Vehicle Dynamics, Chassis Dynos or Autonomous Vehicles, is preferred
- Some fabrication skills preferred
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Comfortable driving prototype vehicles at (or over) their limit on closed courses
