LitePoint is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician in San Jose, CA to support engineering activities including test, board assembly, prototype creation, and system testing.

• Rework mechanical and electrical boards per engineering requirements.
• Find solutions to challenging mechanical assemblies into temporary chassis.
• Assembly of prototype systems that includes modules, electrical boards into chassis.
• Assembly of experimental circuitry.
• Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing and trouble-shooting functions.
• Program boards, modules and systems.
• Perform final system test to ensure assembly is correct.
• Provide assembly feedback to mechanical engineering.
• Manage Lab supplies.

We seek individuals with 3+ years of hands-on experience, an associate degree or equivalent, basic electrical engineering knowledge, reading and understanding of electrical schematics, hands-on setup and testing experience, soldering electrical parts, handling PCB modifications/rework, familiarity with machine shop practices, and teamwork orientation.

This position is open to candidates local to the position location and is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Compensation ranges from $42.50 to $55.00 per hour, with potential for discretionary bonuses based on company performance.
