About the Role
We are seeking a Pile Driving Inspector to work outdoors on some of the biggest and best construction projects in Florida. This opportunity provides an exciting challenge for the right candidate, with a role that includes learning pile driving, concrete testing, and inspection.
Responsibilities
- Assist in pile driving inspection and other types of field testing relating to soil conditions and strength.
- Under close supervision, perform basic testing and observation duties.
- Provide clear documentation of findings and results, communicating information to the Project Manager to discuss data accuracy in preparation for submittal.
- Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager.
- Progressively take on increased training and responsibility in work assignments.
- Maintain assigned equipment.
- Follow safety rules and practices, perform pre-task planning, and report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Maintain quality standards on all projects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CTQP Pile Driving Inspection certification.
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician certification.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred Qualifications
- NICET Level II certification in Construction Materials Testing (Asphalt, Concrete, Soils).
- NICET Level II certification in Geotechnical (Construction, Laboratory, Exploration, Generalist).
- ICC certification in two or more of the following: Reinforced Concrete, Spray-applied Fireproofing, Structural Masonry, Prestressed/Post-Tensioned Concrete, Structural Steel – Bolting, Structural Steel – Welding.
- American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
- ASNT Level II certification in more than one of the following: Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
- Other relevant national, regional, state, or local materials-related certifications requiring experience and written examination.
- CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection.
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I or III.
- CC Soils certification.
