Provides intermediate-level technical, production-control, logistics, and industrial-operations support. Performs recurring assignments independently, applies established precedents, and selects or adapts standard procedures and equipment when work is not completely prescribed.
Responsibilities
- Supporting and executing production planning and workload coordination
- Review of technical drawings, sourcing material, and providing logistics support
- Tracking hardware progress, scheduling, and data-system support and accuracy
- Performing and supporting technical assembly and troubleshooting
- Ensuring safety, quality, material handling, and team coordination
- Production planning support, hardware progressing, work-order scheduling
- Material and component research, repair-kit development, technical drawing-package support
- Data analysis, equipment-status tracking, and coordination of hardware movement through Government shops
- Constructing components or subunits, adapting standard equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions, and performing authorized corrective actions
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Technical, vocational, military, engineering-technology, industrial, or logistics training preferred
- Minimum of four years of experience supporting industrial operations
- Experience with production control, industrial logistics, hardware progressing, material research, or technical support
- Experience using shop orders, engineering drawings, bills of material, procedures, and specifications
- Experience troubleshooting equipment or component malfunctions
- Experience using computerized production, maintenance, logistics, or inventory systems
- Experience coordinating work among multiple shops or functional organizations preferred
- Prior Department of Defense, depot, manufacturing, or government-facility experience preferred
- U.S. citizenship is required due to security-clearance and Government-access requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- Full medical certification, including an ordnance physical
- Required equipment, process, HAZMAT, and safety qualifications must be obtained and maintained
Skills
- Ability to manually lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to perform recurring technical work independently from initial instructions
- Ability to select or adapt standard procedures using established precedents
- Working knowledge of industrial production, material-control, and shop-order processes
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material, and technical instructions
- Ability to research material, vendors, components, and obsolescence issues
- Ability to use ERP, SWMS, EQL, or comparable information systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and correct routine equipment or component malfunctions
- Strong organizational, analytical, documentation, and status-reporting skills
- Ability to recognize conditions requiring supervisory, engineering, or Government direction
- Ability to coordinate effectively across technical, logistics, and production organizations
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed and certified to operate a 6,000-pound electric forklift
- Licensed and certified to operate a 6,000-pound diesel forklift
- Licensed and certified to operate a CAT III overhead crane
- Ability and experience operating a pallet jack and Big Joe stand-behind pallet lift
