Engineering Technician I

About the role

The Engineering Technician I position at Terracon is located in San Jose, California. This role involves performing field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials. The technician will communicate with various stakeholders including the project manager, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractors regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results.

Responsibilities

• Transport material samples to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
• Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in the form of written and digital reports.
• Communicate findings and results to the Project Manager.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
• Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites.
• Adhere to strict safety standards.
• Undergo training and assume increasing responsibilities in work assignments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history.

Qualifications

• Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
• Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Successfully complete related internal safety certifications.

Pay

Maximum Salary: $34.00/hour
Minimum Salary: $24.25/hour
