About the Role

As an Engineering Technician for our High Power Test Lab, you will conduct testing for outside customers and support our Engineering and Marketing teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high fault current, surge testing, time current, and cycling testing in accordance with test standard specifications
• Maintain all of the Labs’ Power Generation and associated Test Equipment
• Ensure Lab procedures comply with ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 to maintain certification
• Cross-train lab personnel and associates on all procedures associated with the Labs
• Maintain a high degree of working knowledge of listing services standards
• Evaluate Test Data and Test Performances to support Design Engineers’ theories
• Recommend upgrades and justify reasons for Safety, Power Generation, and Data Acquisition upgrades
• Assist on Team Projects as required
• Keep the lab and equipment clean
• Must be willing to work overtime

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Working experience with PC operating platforms (Windows, Excel, and Word)
• General knowledge of Transformer Theory, Solid State Components, and Electromagnetic Fields
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot Control Systems to the Component Level
• Knowledge of Data Acquisition Systems
• Must be capable of communicating with internal engineers and customers

Pay

The expected wage for this position is between $25 and $32 per hour and will be eligible for incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate, and actual compensation will be based on factors including knowledge, location, skills, training, and experience.
