About the role

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Engineering Technician for Hardware/Software Integration to join our Avionics Integration Organization in San Diego (Rancho Bernardo), CA. The candidate should be a self-starter with familiarity working in an Integrated Product Team construct. This is a full-time, on-site position with no remote or hybrid options available.

Responsibilities

  • Perform datacenter hardware integration, documentation, drawings, and software deployment.
  • Physically construct rack-based datacenter systems with a focus on safety, quality, and ease of repair.
  • Interpret, markup/redline, and audit released engineering drawings.
  • Install system interconnect cabling for communications, audio, networking, and serial interfaces.
  • Perform integrated logistics support (ILS) and inventory tracking for inbound and outbound hardware.
  • Participate in offsite system integration activities (25%+ travel).
  • Implement engineering changes to the system as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Electronic Technician 3: 4 years of additional education and/or related experience.
  • Electronic Technician 4: 6 years of additional education and/or related experience.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings in accordance with ASME and IEEE standards, including rack assembly drawings, interconnect wiring diagrams, and custom cable assemblies.
  • Must be physically able to move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
  • Active US Government Top-Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain US Government SCI clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable timeframe.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
  • Active US Government Top Secret SCI clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $66,600.00 - $111,000.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $131,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
