Engineering Technician

About the role

This position supports the development and maintenance of accurate network infrastructure records that are critical to NC State’s campus-wide telecommunications systems. Working within the Network Infrastructure Records team, the role ensures that engineers and stakeholders have reliable, up-to-date data for planning, design, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Supports the development and maintenance of accurate network infrastructure records.
• Ensures that engineers and stakeholders have reliable, up-to-date data for planning, design, and operations.
• Contributes directly to the integrity of infrastructure documentation, enabling efficient project execution and long-term system sustainability.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in the assigned discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD software.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Previous experience using ArcGIS or other GIS software.
