Engineering - Technical Intern

Duties And Responsibilities

• Learn from plant Manufacturing and Controls Engineers and Process Experts
• Create Ideas and drive Continuous Improvement
• Aid engineering team with completing automation, tooling, lean, and other engineering projects
• Prepare presentations, technical documents, and other project documentation
• Absorb and troubleshoot auto and semi-auto assembly equipment
• Develop and implement permanent solutions
• Document control system testing
• Review reports and test results to help develop or implement permanent improvements
• Develop How To instructions for all levels of operations

Education And Experience

• Working towards a degree from an accredited College or University in Engineering
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
• Good communication skills
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs
• Travel Required: Minimal

About the Role

We are seeking an Engineering (Controls) Intern at our Avancez - Ft Wayne Facility. This role will provide an opportunity to learn from plant Manufacturing and Controls Engineers and Process Experts, create ideas and drive continuous improvement, assist engineering team with completing automation, tooling, lean, and other engineering projects, prepare presentations, technical documents, and other project documentation, absorb and troubleshoot auto and semi-auto assembly equipment, develop and implement permanent solutions, document control system testing, review reports and test results to help develop or implement permanent improvements, and develop How To instructions for all levels of operations.

Qualifications

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This position is part-time and flexible, with the potential for full-time opportunities upon successful completion of the internship.
