  • Knowledge of tube fabrication, including metal removal, forming, and fabrication techniques.
  • Proven ability to initiate and complete projects.
  • Hands-on involvement with manufacturing issues.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to high-risk/hazardous operations and potential extended shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CNC programming experience, including multi-axis machining.
  • Experience with tool/fixture design and build.
  • Experience with 3D CAD/CAM software (e.g., Unigraphics, Solidworks, Inventor).
  • Experience with TruTops/Boost laser programming software.
  • Willingness to grow into a GE certifying agent for laser processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, MAPICs).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other PC skills.
  • Training in Six Sigma tools and applications.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience specifying and justifying capital equipment purchases.
  • Experience writing work instructions and training operators.
  • Familiarity with AL-231 Manufacturing Operation Sheets and/or AL-237 Quality Planning Maintenance.

Additional Information

  • Ability to work in areas with moderate noise intensity (85–89 dBa).
  • Ability to work in environments with dust, fumes, or smoke (within OSHA Permissible Exposure Limits).
  • Ability to work under demanding time constraints and extended hours as needed.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including fractions, decimals, percentages, and graph/chart interpretation.
  • Ability to communicate with customers and leaders on project progress/status.
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information; employment is contingent on U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).
