Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate equipment such as: scale, multi-meter, data acquisition, hand and power tools, and wiring tools.
- Perform tests on commercial cooking and cooked food holding equipment under the direction of a mentor.
- Build and operate test fixtures under moderate direction.
- Collect data from equipment or systems under test, data acquisition (DAQ), for the purposes of creating test reports or validating system function.
- Perform advanced functions and troubleshooting methods of common commercial cooking and cooked food holding equipment.
- Read and follow wiring diagrams.
- Maintain lab/workshop cleanliness, tools, and equipment.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: High School Diploma / Technical Diploma or Certificate / Associate Degree
- 2-4 years of experience in a related field with an applied associate degree or a 1-2 year diploma in a field program.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in the related field without a formal education in the related field.
Skills & Abilities
- Work safely and possess the discernment of when to ask for help/training on: equipment, process, or task.
- Act as a contributing team member in lab or workshop activities.
- Provide clear and concise verbal & written communication.
- Perform work to the required level of accuracy.
