Engineering Tech I - Designer

Essential Functions

• Create documentation to facilitate the manufacturing process
• Aid in real-time root cause analysis and problem resolution for products flowing through the manufacturing assembly lines
• Interface with manufacturing personnel to optimize assembly methods and streamline manufacturing processes
• Generate system & component models, drawings, specifications, summary reports and standard work instructions
• Present work status to the engineering team and other company functions
• Follow verbal and written instructions from Project Engineers, Designers and Senior Technicians, as well as Engineering Managers
• Use AS400 Product Inquiry and Product Structure Inquiry Screens
• Maintain clean work environment as per established guidelines in accordance with 5S principles
• Work flexible hours, including Saturdays and overtime work
• Report any unsafe conditions or actions, and promote safe working conditions and environment
• Follow safety guidelines and policies and ensure safe working practices

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of CREO 3D modeling Software, WindChill Database Mgt, ACAD Database software; AS400
• Skilled with Microsoft Office suite products (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of basic refrigeration concepts and tools
• Knowledge of basic electrical concepts
• Knowledge and use of basic hand tools, sheet metal tools, air, and motorized tools such as screw guns and drills
