Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

• Review and update department processes and instructions.
• Based on directions provided by engineering and knowledge developed on the job, determine appropriate actions to be applied by monitoring performance, analyzing data and identifying trends to predict potential issues.
• Provide staff with rework instructions and guidance.
• Perform engineering activities as assigned to provide engineering support during hours when engineers are not present.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Capable of effective communication with all levels of the plant personnel.
• Self-motivated, an independent thinker, and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in manufacturing or a technical role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Must be available and willing to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some coursework towards an Engineering or Technical degree preferred.
• Previous experience with dimensional measurement devices (calipers, CMM UT, Pincher Gauges, etc.).
• CAD and blueprint interpretation experience.
• Familiarity with FPI, X-ray, and Visual Inspection.
