About the role

Help coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance tasks across the engineering team
Coordinate and drive preventative maintenance to completion
Support team workflow by assigning tasks as directed and tracking progress to completion
Perform advanced maintenance and repairs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry)
Step in to assist with hands‑on work to ensure timely and high‑quality results
Act as a resource and mentor to team members, providing guidance and on‑the-job coaching
Partner closely with housekeeping and front office to align on room readiness and guest needs
Conduct walkthroughs of guest rooms, public spaces, and back‑of‑house areas to identify issues
Help ensure work orders are completed accurately and efficiently
Promote safety standards and proper maintenance practices
Identify opportunities for preventative maintenance and operational improvements

Requirements

Strong background in general maintenance or building engineering (multi‑trade skills)
Proven ability to lead by example and support team members in a hands‑on environment
Experience helping coordinate work, prioritize tasks, and follow up on completion
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Ability to balance technical work with team support responsibilities
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume hotel environment
Reliable, proactive, and team‑oriented mindset
Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

A passion for coaching others and continuous improvement
