About the role
The Engineering Systems & PLM Implementation Lead role is responsible for defining and implementing Engineering Change Administration processes, leading the design, implementation, and rollout of engineering systems and workflows, and ensuring alignment between engineering, operations, IT, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and improvements of data creation processes to control drawing, revisions and engineering data
- Map and document current engineering processes and identify opportunities for improved workflow and system support
- Cook up and coordinate integrations across engineering and enterprise systems including PLM, CAD, and ERP platforms (e.g., Agile PLM, Teamcenter, SAP)
- Coordinate and deliver training to all process stakeholders
- Own and coordinate integrations across engineering and enterprise systems including PLM, CAD, and ERP platforms (e.g., Agile PLM, Teamcenter, SAP)
- Partner with engineering applications, IT, and operations teams to ensure reliable system connectivity and product data flow
- Define and govern engineering lifecycle processes supporting the full development cycle from new product introduction (NPI) through scale and product transfer to operations
- Ensure engineering change management, product structure governance, and documentation workflows are consistent and scalable
- Lead standardization of engineering workflows and systems across regions, business units, and manufacturing sites
- Develop and execute the implementation roadmap, including system testing, training programs, and platform rollout
- Serve as the operational bridge between Engineering, IT, Operations, and Quality
- Translate system capabilities into practical engineering workflows and ensure alignment across product development and manufacturing teams
Requirements
- Experience leading enterprise platform implementations or engineering system rollouts
- Strong program or project management experience
- Experience working with engineering teams or product development environments
- Strong cross-functional communication and leadership skills
Qualifications
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms such as Agile PLM, Teamcenter, Windchill, or similar
- Familiarity with engineering change management processes
- Experience supporting R&D or product development organizations
- Experience integrating engineering systems with ERP or manufacturing systems
