About the Role
This role supports Engineering management by providing technical and administrative assistance throughout the department. As a key team member, you will be hands-on, highly organized, and motivated, ensuring guest satisfaction and quick resolution of maintenance issues.
Responsibilities
- Assist Engineering management with preventative maintenance, including maintaining logs, scheduling, and assigning projects.
- Support procurement of supplies and issuance of purchase orders.
- Ensure CARE and PRP programs are properly maintained and inspect rooms after work completion.
- Manage the Synergy application daily to plan and update tasks as needed.
- Review and prioritize work orders, assigning tasks accordingly.
- Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light, power, and repair/maintenance supplies.
- Respond to guest requests and coordinate activities with the Engineering staff on a shift basis.
- Assume full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of Engineering management.
- Understand Omni’s fire alarm procedures, emergency evacuation protocols, job scenarios, and Systems and Services procedures.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience within an upscale hotel or resort engineering team (preferred).
- Prior leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours based on business and occupancy levels, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with guests.
- Knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Swimming Pool systems (preferred).
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Experience supervising a team of 5 or more employees.
