Engineering Supervisor - Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines

As an Engineering Supervisor at Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines, you’ll oversee daily operations of physical building and systems maintenance and repairs while delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest exceptional.

Our property features 394 guest rooms, 22 meeting spaces, and over 65,000 square feet of event space. Located on the 18th hole of the Torrey Pines Golf Course, we offer views of the Pacific Ocean from rooms with balconies and patios. Nearby, you can explore the natural beauty of Torrey Pines State Reserve, with a walking trailhead to Torrey Pines State Beach just one mile away.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facility safety and compliance: Support the maintenance of the hotel’s buildings, mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Supervise maintenance operations: Assign and oversee daily maintenance tasks, ensuring thorough documentation of completed work in the property management system
• Oversee contractor work: Supervise external contractors and inspect completed work for quality and compliance
• Respond to service requests: Ensure maintenance requests, guest concerns, and emergency situations are addressed promptly and efficiently
• Supervise and develop the team: Train, schedule, and supervise maintenance team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and performance

Requirements

• Knowledge of general safe operating procedures
• Skilled in using electrical testing instruments
• Ability to lift, grasp, and/or carry supplies or equipment weighing up to 75 lbs and climb stairs and ladders, working at heights up to approximately 25 feet
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling
• Visual ability to identify and locate existing problems
• Knowledge in utilizing computer systems and inputting data for clerical work
