Engineering Student
Responsibilities
- Conducting trade quote reviews – verifying material quantities, hours, and rates.
- Conducting deficiency walks.
- Inputting and updating deficiency logs.
- Issuing warranties.
- Taking/coordinating progress photos.
- Updating, coordinating, and producing drawings.
- Performing quantity takeoffs.
- Coordinating and supervising sub-trade work.
- Verifying site conditions and coordinating with drawings.
- Setting up and maintaining record keeping.
- Updating project schedules.
- Obtaining scheduling information from sub-trades.
Qualifications
- Working towards a degree or diploma in a civil engineering or a related field preferred.
- A passion for working in a construction environment.
- Experience with the application of various computer software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
- Self-motivated with a hands-on approach.
- Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.
