About the role
Convergint is seeking a full-time Engineering Specialist who embodies enthusiasm, results-driven mindset, and forward-thinking qualities. The role involves working in a dynamic team that supports Convergint's mission to be the best service provider for customers, colleagues, and communities.
Responsibilities
- Application engineering, programming, troubleshooting, start-up, and check-out of assigned installed projects
- Technical support contact for customers, aiming to maximize customer satisfaction with installed Fire, Security, and/or Building Automation Systems
- Ensuring projects are effectively executed within budgeted costs and timelines
- Performing other duties as requested or required
Requirements
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure
- Solid knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems
- Advanced programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and find solutions
- Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude, including proficiency with various hand and power tools
- Highly proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications, AutoCAD, and viewing software; solid networking & IT skills (specifically in Security & Building Automation)
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant low-voltage systems project experience
- Prior experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation preferred
Qualifications
- College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience
- Advanced programming skills and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Highly proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications, AutoCAD, and viewing software
- Solid networking & IT skills, specifically in Security & Building Automation
Skills

Pay
Salary information for the assigned target market range within the primary geographic region the requisition is posted. Individual pay rates will vary based on the job, department, location, and the applicant's skills, experience, certifications, specific licenses, and education.
