About the role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Program Manager to help lead the development of Fourier’s commercial on-site hydrogen production system. The Fourier engineering team works in a hands-on, collaborative environment to solve problems and drive progress.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end program execution from concept through launch, defining scope, timelines, deliverables, and critical milestones.
- Serve as the central point of contact across hardware engineering, manufacturing, product, operations, and other teams to facilitate alignment and ensure all stakeholders are working toward shared goals and outcomes.
- Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate resolutions to ensure program success.
- Communicate program status, risks, and key decisions to senior leadership and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and visibility into overall program health.
- Continuously assess, build, and improve program management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Must-Have Experience
- Strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering, with the ability to understand system architectures and engineering trade-offs.
- Comfortable engaging deeply with engineering teams to ask the right questions and challenge assumptions.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines in an early-stage start-up environment.
- Experience and demonstration of making informed decisions and trade-offs with incomplete or evolving data.
- Problem-solving mindset with a bias toward action and ownership.
- Experience and passion to oversee a project from concept to implementation while working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Able to decompose complex problems, prioritize effectively, and unblock teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing cross-functional stakeholders across seniority levels.
- Skilled at facilitating discussions, resolving conflicts, and driving decisions.
- 7+ years of experience leading cross-functional engineering programs, with a proven track record of delivering complex hardware products.
- Experience working with external partners such as contract manufacturers, suppliers, or test vendors is a strong plus.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Tools and Process: Familiarity with typical project and program management tools and deep understanding of fundamental development practices (agile, waterfall, hybrid).
- Experience with FMEA and safety compliance for making design decisions.

Compensation Range
$130K - $190K
