About the role

Aquila Technology is seeking an Engineering Production Specialist to support a leading defense research organization. The role focuses on leading the supply chain strategy for a program, coordinating design for manufacturability reviews, facilitating fabrication activities, and developing and executing program fabrication plans.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage plans for internally and externally fabricated components to support prototype development for a multitude of part commodity types and programs
  • Coordinate with the multi-faceted cross-functional team and program contacts to align fabrication execution plan to program and technical needs
  • Translate technical data provided into process instructions to execute fabrication and assembly of prototype hardware
  • Utilize planning tools to provide capacity analysis, cost, and schedule estimates to group and programs
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and manage projects related to fabrication, procurement, and project planning
  • Develop strong working relationships with vendor base contacts that support external sourcing of key components for prototype development and fabrication

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Technical/STEM discipline
  • 2+ years of professional experience
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members to drive projects forward and to push forward action plans

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain a Active Secret Clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Location: Must be within 100 miles from Lexington, MA
