About the role

For our client, we are seeking an Engineering Manager, Web Application Discovery to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This leader will guide a specialized engineering team focused on uncovering and improving web application surface discovery capabilities. The role combines technical leadership, people management, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen the accuracy and quality of discovery outcomes. You will help shape methods, standards, and execution for complex crawling efforts that support downstream teams and broader product effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a specialized engineering team
• Define technical methodologies and quality standards for deliverables
• Own and execute the strategy for web application surface discovery
• Oversee the development of complex crawling capabilities
• Collaborate with downstream teams to address discovery gaps

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of engineering or security team leadership experience
• Experience managing teams of 4-8+ engineers effectively
• Proven ability to balance technical knowledge with management responsibilities
• Strong coaching skills with the ability to foster engineer growth
• Experience managing performance with clarity and accountability
