Engineering Manager - Secure Access

For our client, we are seeking a Engineering Manager - Secure Access to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will guide a team focused on secure access capabilities within a modern technology environment. You will set technical direction, prioritize engineering work, and help translate product vision into executable plans. The position also plays a key role in integrating on-premises and cloud environments while maintaining reliability for existing users and supporting the delivery of new functionality. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $140,000 – $170,000 annually Responsibilities Lead a team of software and platform engineers supporting secure access capabilities Set technical direction and manage project priorities Oversee the integration of on-premises and cloud environments Mentor engineers across software and platform disciplines Ensure reliability for existing customers while delivering new features Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience 3+ years of direct engineering management experience 5+ years of hands-on experience in platform, infrastructure, or software engineering Experience managing VMware vSphere/ESXi on-premises infrastructure Experience with VDI or remote-access infrastructure Experience deploying workloads on a major cloud platform, preferably GCP Working knowledge of Linux, containers, and CI/CD pipelines Ability to translate product vision into engineering tasks Strong communication skills for nontechnical stakeholders Benefits Health benefits with 85-100% coverage for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance for you and your family Traditional and Roth 401(K) with competitive match Unlimited flexible leave to support work-life balance 12 paid federal holidays Tuition reimbursement to support continuing education Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
