About the role
Oversee the engineering aspects of electrical substation, transmission, and distribution EPC projects nationwide from bidding to project closeout. Responsibilities include supporting owner’s design reviews, construction and startup phases, and submitting final “as-built” design documents.
Responsibilities
- Prepare proposals for Engineer, Procure, Construct (EPC) electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects.
- Manage and coordinate all detailed design engineering subcontractors and associated engineering field liaison activities.
- Coordinate all engineered equipment and material procurement activities.
- Interface with equipment vendors, expedite vendor procurement information and deliverables, or delegate to the procurement manager as needed.
- Prepare engineering and engineered equipment procurement requirements for projects.
- Schedule day-to-day engineering subcontractor and equipment procurement activities; coordinate with the Project Executive and/or Project Manager.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Project Executive and/or Project Manager.
- Manage the testing and commissioning contractor for EPC projects.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Travel up to 25% required.
- Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in design, engineering, or project management related to electrical, transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
- PE license.
- Experience managing project teams or consultants is a plus.
- Construction-related experience or EPC project experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Skills
- Ability to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical plans and specifications, including blueprints, proposals, and other documents related to electrical work.
- Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to prepare construction schedules in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player able to work successfully with diverse internal and external partners.
- Self-driven with the ability to stay on-task for extended periods.

Pay
Salary range: $130,000–$165,000 per year, paid weekly.
