Engineering Manager, Market Data & Analytics

For our client, we are seeking a Engineering Manager, Market Data & Analytics to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will guide a high-performing engineering team responsible for market data and analytics capabilities that support fast, accurate, and reliable decision-making. The manager will own the technical direction for this domain, balancing system performance, data quality, and execution across a complex financial technology environment. This person will also partner closely with Product and business stakeholders to translate priorities into clear engineering plans and strong delivery outcomes. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $218,900 – $256,500 annually Responsibilities Own the technical roadmap for the market data and analytics domain Lead and grow a team of 5-10 engineers through coaching and career development Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver market data and analytics features Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and performance under strict requirements Shape the engineering culture and hiring processes to attract exceptional talent Qualifications 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing engineering teams Proven record with real-time data and financial infrastructure systems Deep technical fluency in systems design, streaming/data pipelines, and backend languages such as Java, Go, or C++ Successful track record in hiring, developing, and retaining senior engineers Experience collaborating with Product and business stakeholders to create clear engineering plans Experience using generative AI responsibly to enhance workflow and deliver quality results Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company contribution Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
