Engineering Manager, Hardware Engineering (Onsite)

This position requires onsite presence in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance is required after day one.

About the Role

Collins Aerospace, a leader in technologically advanced, intelligent solutions for the aerospace and defense industry, is seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager of Hardware Engineering to lead a mixed Mechanical & Electrical Engineering section within the Multi-Domain Assured Navigation & Timing Applications (MANTA) organization. Responsibilities

• Lead a team of highly innovative engineers in the invention, development, build, and test of mechanical & electronic solutions supporting Assured Position, Navigation, and Timing products and technology.
• Oversee the mechanical & electrical engineering execution of internally and externally funded programs and IR&D projects, striving for 100% customer satisfaction.
• Develop innovation strategies via collaboration with internal and external customers and partner organizations across the company.
• Collaborate with personnel across Mission Systems and RTX to support technology transition planning and recommend projects for independent research & development (IR&D).
• Develop and nurture internal and external networks, forging relationships with peers across Mission Systems Engineering, Value Stream leadership, and Operations.

Requirements

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
• 3+ years experience leading cross-functional technical teams with a passion for challenging and developing people.

Pay

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
