Lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. Work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. Influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote – US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of engineers, providing coaching and feedback
  • Partner with PM and Design to define and prioritize project roadmap
  • Ensure the team delivers features on time and to quality standards
  • Collaborate with other teams on infrastructure decisions and dependencies
  • Communicate project roadmaps and risks to engineering and stakeholders
  • Establish team norms to enhance collaboration and engagement
  • Drive improvements in reliability and incident response for data infrastructure
  • Participate in hiring to grow the engineering team

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in software engineering with 2+ years managing backend or infrastructure engineers
  • Skilled in partnering with Product Management to align engineering with business goals
  • Strong communication abilities in distributed team settings across time zones
  • Proven experience mentoring engineers and managing performance
  • Familiarity with observability practices for production infrastructure
  • Experience with Go or similar backend languages (e.g., Java, Python, Rust) a plus
  • Familiar with data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) and data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow) a plus

Pay

$163,000 – $224,070 annually
