Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director of Engineering and assists with hotel maintenance and protection, guest and associate satisfaction, as well as the financial performance of the department.
• Know the White Lodging Way for Engineering, housekeeping, and food service operations.
• Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Proactively follow specific departmental procedures in performing repair, maintenance, alteration, and installation work in a safe and neat manner.
• Determine defects, troubleshoot malfunctions, take necessary corrective action, and record same following specific departmental procedures.
• Possess the ability to read and use blueprints, diagrams, operations manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications.
• Responsible for maintaining key inventories and procedures in coordination with risk management.
• Additional responsibilities as determined by the Director of Engineering.

Requirements

• Understanding of blueprints, specifications, and operating instructions.
• A positive attitude and passion for doing things right the first time.
• Strong technical experience between schooling and equivalent work experience; previous leadership experience preferred.
• A focus on safety and customer service.
• Progressive experience in hospitality engineering or facilities management required.
