About the role
The role is part of a rapidly growing team at Verse Medical, a company dedicated to improving hospital-quality care for patients at home. We are seeking a seasoned leader to manage a team of engineers and drive the development of critical software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers building software for hospitals and patients that enhances their daily experiences.
- Make key architectural decisions in various domains such as backend, frontend, database, and infrastructure.
- Provide coaching and feedback to engineers to help them grow professionally.
- Find creative solutions to complex technical and product problems.
- Guide engineers through complex technical projects.
- Help hire and build out the engineering team as we scale.
Requirements
- 2 or more years of experience managing a team of software engineers (both as a people manager and in a technical capacity).
- 3 or more years of experience working as a full stack software engineer.
- Strong skills in web-based APIs, frontend frameworks, and databases.
- Logically think through complex problems and come up with effective solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills for interfacing with both technical and non-technical folks.
- Demonstrated ability in effectively leading complex technical projects.
