Engineering Manager

About the role

The role is part of a rapidly growing team at Verse Medical, a company dedicated to improving hospital-quality care for patients at home. We are seeking a seasoned leader to manage a team of engineers and drive the development of critical software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers building software for hospitals and patients that enhances their daily experiences.
• Make key architectural decisions in various domains such as backend, frontend, database, and infrastructure.
• Provide coaching and feedback to engineers to help them grow professionally.
• Find creative solutions to complex technical and product problems.
• Guide engineers through complex technical projects.
• Help hire and build out the engineering team as we scale.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience managing a team of software engineers (both as a people manager and in a technical capacity).
• 3 or more years of experience working as a full stack software engineer.
• Strong skills in web-based APIs, frontend frameworks, and databases.
• Logically think through complex problems and come up with effective solutions.
• Exceptional communication skills for interfacing with both technical and non-technical folks.
• Demonstrated ability in effectively leading complex technical projects.
